ADAMH is currently searching for our next Director of Education Engagement. In this role, you will lead the development, execution, and strategic advancement of ADAMH’s education-based outreach and advocacy efforts, serving as a visible leader and advocate for school and youth engagement within the ADAMH system.
What you’ll do:
- Develop and oversee ADAMH’s strategic education engagement plan, aligning initiatives with community needs, organizational priorities, and behavioral health equity goals.
- Cultivate and manage partnerships with K–12 schools, colleges/universities, education coalitions, and youth-serving organizations.
- Represent ADAMH on school district committees, inter-agency coalitions, and youth initiatives, providing expertise and ensuring integration of behavioral health supports.
- Serve as a key advisor to senior leadership on education trends, barriers to access, and opportunities for expanding school-based behavioral health strategies.
- Lead the planning, coordination, and evaluation of education-focused programs, training, campaigns, and events targeting students, educators, and families.
- Partner with public affairs and clinical services to co-develop messaging, materials, and resources tailored for educational audiences.
- Manage education-related grant initiatives, support proposal development, and ensure timely reporting of outcomes.
- Supervise and mentor education engagement staff, interns, or project-specific contractors as assigned.
- Track and report on engagement metrics, school partnership activities, and program impact.
- Identify emerging trends and needs in school-based behavioral health and advise on responsive programming or resource development.
- Support ADAMH participation in education events, community forums, and youth coalitions across Franklin County.
- Participate in agency staff meetings, training, and professional development to maintain expertise in education and behavioral health outreach.
- Table at various advocacy and engagements events.
- Other duties as assigned.
What we’re looking for:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Education, Public Health, Human Services, or related field.
Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in school-based behavioral health, community engagement, or K–12 systems leadership.
At least 2 years of supervisory, team leadership, or project management experience.
Established strong working relationships with K–12 school districts, higher education institutions, or youth-serving organizations.
Skills: In-depth knowledge of K–12 and higher education structures and affairs.
Knowledge of education policy and advocacy environments.
Strong organizational, strategic planning, and project management skills.
Strong coalition building skills with educational leaders and systems.
Excellent public speaking, writing, and interpersonal communication abilities.
Proficient in data interpretation and program evaluation techniques.
Ability to manage multiple partnerships and represent the agency in high- visibility settings.
Skilled in navigating culturally diverse environments and tailoring engagement strategies accordingly.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and virtual collaboration tools.
